A Birthday Party for Emily

Emily is a little girl just about a month younger
than Laurana that lives in our complex.
Her mother decided to throw a
McDonald's party for her and
invited both Emmalyne and Laurana.

Emily and Laurana both only being a year old
really had no clue what was going on,
they did an excellent job of taking things in though.

I was amazed at how long Laurana kept this hat on!
But I think Daddy put it on just the right tightness
and she couldn't see a brim so she left it alone.
Emmalyne didn't last as long with it on
but I managed to get a shot or 2.
Eme's favorite part was playing
in the big play area she stayed in
there most of the time and
hardly ate anything there. lol.
I snuck my hat onto Mark
and he didn't even know it
till I took this picture
and showed it to him. lol.

Daddy's Girls

My little girls Love their Daddy so much!
(Yes, they love their binkies too).
Sometimes they both have to be held
by daddy at the same time.
Not an easy feat when they are
each 24-25 lbs on any given day.

So yeah Daddy is strong holding 50 lbs.

Alfalfa

I don't know how it happened
but she got this Alfalfa look
and I had to snap a pic.

I Didn't Do It!

The real irony is that she wasn't in trouble
or even surprised by the picture.
But boy does she look like
a deer caught in the headlights.

Daddy's Hats

My girls always look so cute in daddy's hats.

This first one of Eme is kinda old but I wanted to show both girls in daddy's hats. The hard hat is from when Mark first started working at Bass Pro Shops and the place was still under some construction.

Doesn't Laurana look cute in one of daddy's baseball hats?

I'm 1 year old today!

I like cake!
Yummy chocolate cake!

Laurana's first birthday was a simple little family party.
She got a swimming floaty and a glow worm.
Man did she love that cake!

Our 3rd Anniversary

Three years ago on April 9th 2005 Mark and I were married
in the Manti Temple.
At risk of cliché that day I married my best friend.
He has been such a strength to me.
He is a wonderful loving husband and an amazing father to our little girls.
I have to say he was sooooo worth the wait!

For those who haven't seen some of our earlier engagement
and wedding pics here are a couple.

I wish I looked that pretty these days...
This is one of my favorite pics from our wedding day.
My dad took this one...
He followed the professional photographer around and
took some of the same shots slightly different angles of course.
Funny thing is I liked his one of this shot better than the professional one lol.

This is a pic from this year... didn't take many pictures but isn't Mark so cute?
He's the one who did Eme's pig tails lol. They didn't last long though...
Our  anniversary was spent with our little angels...
but I suppose that can't be helped sometimes,
and besides couldn't have picked better company than those 2 sweethearts.
